Request an Appointment

Thank you for your interest in MCC of Florida. Please carefully review the criteria for consideration of medical cannabis treatment BEFORE requesting an appointment. Florida Law is very specific regarding which conditions can currently be treated and MCC of Florida will strictly adhere to this legislation. Please check the Florida Office of Compassionate Use website for the most up to date information on allowed conditions.

Conditions

Currently seizures, severe and persistent muscle spasms, and cancer are the only legal conditions in Florida for low THC cannabis. Additionally, “regular strength” THC medical cannabis is allowed for any end of life condition (any condition with less than one year life expectancy). Traditional treatment must have also already been tried and found to be ineffective or have unacceptable side effects before adding medical cannabis.

On January 3, 2017, PTSD, HIV/AIDS, glaucoma, Parkinson’s Disease, Crohn’s disease, and ALS (Lou Gerig’s Disease) will also become eligible (conditions listed in Amendment 2 on the November 2016 ballot). While Amendment 2 conditions may eventually be expanded by the Florida legislature and/or Office of Compassionate Use, MCC of Florida will ONLY see patients with the specifically listed conditions at this time.

Once medical records are reviewed, we will call or email to schedule an appointment. Florida law also requires a 90 day period between establishing medical care with a physician and ordering medical cannabis for the first time.

We require official medical documentation of one or more of these of listed conditions. If possible, please bring with you or have sent to our office BEFORE your scheduled appointment. Florida law requires a 90 day period between establishing medical care with a physician and ordering medical cannabis for the first time. Please be aware medical cannabis orders will not be placed on the day of your initial appointment.
